Strategic Planning

Projects begin with an examination of the strategic needs of your organization. This can be a large or small process, ranging in cost from $500 to $25,000, typically in the $1000-2000 range.  We use the process of identifying archetypes, scenarios, and media, in that sequence.  Then we brainstorm “what is everything we can imagine doing,” narrow it down to “what is everything we want to do,” then further to “what can we do,” refined to “what should we do,” and ultimately settle on “what will we do.” Whether we spend several hours or several months will depend on the size of your business, but the process is essential.

Media: What is the best way to reach your audience?  Who are they, and where do they look for information?  Are there certain archetypes in your audience that are easier to reach than others?  If so, the media content should be adjusted to suit the interests of those people.  Who within your organization will be the media contact?  If you’re a small or sole proprietership, there’s a good chance it will be the founder, in which case the media strategy needs to be devised in a way that suits that individual’s personality.

We are often defined as much by what we do as by what we do not do.

The work-product resulting from this process will be a complete document strategizing a plan, including budget, which can stand by itself.  When this phase is completed, Sylvan Social Technology can continue to execute the next phase, or you are free to use another provider if you choose.
